Faster data transfer
The transfer speed of SiliconDrive III SSD in comparison to SiliconDrive II has a rate of increase of 3 to 4 times. A SiliconDrive III SSD attains a reading speed of up to 100 MBytes/s and a writing speed up to 80 MBytes/s.
The SiliconDrive III with a 2.5" form factor is available with capacities of 30, 60, 90 and 120 GBytes and with a 1.8" form factor in capacities of 30 and 60 GB.

SiliconSystems patented Wear-Leveling algorithm writes the data evenly on the entire SiliconDrive II. Single memory cells thereby do not wear out prematurely and the possible drive life is maximised.
The PowerArmor technology prevents destruction of memory cells and data loss if the power supply fails when writing data. PowerArmor prevents from the number one cause of field failures.
SiSMART technology monitors the write/erase cycles of the flash cells in the cards and drives. This way it is possible to predict the remaining life span of the products and to plan the future usage.
